About this Speaker

Kate has been working in the legal profession since 1994, initially as a legal technology paralegal, working in the very earliest paperless court rooms. Since 2003, she has worked in the NSW Southern Highlands, working in a boutique generalist firm, and progressively specialising in family law. In 2016 Kate completed her Master of Laws (Applied Law) and since 2017 she has been an adjunct lecturer with the College of Law, combining this with her work in private practice. As a solicitor in regional rural NSW, Kate has gained a wealth of experience handling a diverse range of matters for her clients. While specialising in family law, she considers herself a general practitioner assisting clients in various forms of alternative dispute resolution as well as traditional litigation, regularly appearing in both State and Federal Courts.
